Beginning in Amboseli with its iconic Kilimanjaro backdrop and legendary elephant herds, you move through Tsavo's vast red-earth wilderness (East and West), where wildlife moves in staggering numbers across a landscape that stretches to the horizon. Tsavo West's Mzima Springs offers the extraordinary spectacle of hippos and giant catfish viewed from an underwater observatory. Lake Nakuru's compact, wildlife-rich interior delivers rhinos, lion and flamingos in quick succession. Lake Naivasha's morning boat ride is a highlight for ornithologists and generalists alike. Complete day exploring all areas of the park. Observation Hill sunrise, elephant family encounters, cheetah on the open plain.
Drive northeast into Tsavo East's vast red wilderness. Mudanda Rock and the Galana River game drive introduces the park's enormous elephant herds and red-dusted wildlife.
Cross into Tsavo West for Mzima Springs' underwater hippo observation, Shetani lava fields and Ngulia rhino sanctuary.
Drive north through the Chyulu Hills foothills to Lake Nakuru. Afternoon flamingo and rhino game drive.
Morning Nakuru drive then south to Naivasha for the afternoon boat safari among hippos and waterbirds.
